U-Shift Design Development DLR-Robert Hahn

U-Shift is a modular vehicle concept, developed at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). The U-Shift concept enables a new type of modularity by separating the autonomous electric driving module from the transport capsule. Switching between capsules happens without any supporting infrastructure or other additional equipment. The drive module can carry various capsule types for passenger -or goods transport.

This project shows an overview of the design development stages in the DLR-U-Shift project phases from 2018 – 2021. The development is still ongoing in various projects commonly with academic and industrial parnters.
